About a fortnight ago, when I was filling out an online application (oddly enough, surprisingly easy and intuitive) for a child care allowance for self-employed people, a woman told me that I would need confirmation from the school that it was closed...
The state has closed ALL schools, doesn't it? Why on earth would I put such nonsense in there – I've already done it...
And lo and behold - today I received a notification from the Ministry of Industry asking me to document this very document and digitally sign everything again, or I have to send everything REGISTERED.
While at one ministry (Ministry of Finance) it was enough to send the same request (25) by regular email, Mr. Havlíček is meticulous.
Sure, email can be easily abused - anyone can send it and, for example, apply IN MY NAME and receive NURSING BENEFITS - but again, only for ME, because everything is AUTOMATICALLY paid into the account from which I pay social insurance.
And a registered letter? That's a guarantee, of course it can't be abused and I can't write a request for a neighbor and send it to the office... That's certainly not possible - only email can be abused... Oh my god, the letter has been an Austro-Hungarian bureaucratic staple for almost two hundred years 😉
The Bolshevik mindset still persists among civil servants – to make everything as unpleasant as possible for the citizen and to show their power. The civil servant will probably never understand that he is there for us, that we pay him and that he should help me and simplify everything, and not, on the contrary, throw sticks under my feet with unnecessary things.
And I'm not even talking about the COVID application form for poor entrepreneurs, which contains thousands of (literally) completely unnecessary fields. Just so that no one can fill it out and the state doesn't have to pay.
But at least there is one positive thing - I got on my bike, rode to the post office, did a little something for my health, and finally set up a Data Box for an individual.
