The World Health Organization (WHO) published a seemingly inconspicuous document on January 20, 2021,
https://www.who.int/news/item/20-01-2021-who-information-notice-for-ivd-users-2020-05
(here is a translation for our government…) which quite fundamentally reconsiders the recommendations for evaluating PCR, which are key to determining the number of COVID-19 cases, and therefore the basis for the draconian measures we face.
A positive PCR test, as stubbornly interpreted by our government to this day, automatically means that a person is identified as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019).
And this is precisely what the above-mentioned WHO document is dedicated to, which now, 10 months (!!!) after the declaration of the pandemic, comes out with the following:, that the patient's condition and other factors need to be taken into account when interpreting the test result.
It literally says that: „"Most PCR tests are indicated as an adjunct to diagnosis, and therefore healthcare providers must consider any result in combination with the timing of specimen collection, specimen type, assay specifics, clinical findings, patient history, confirmed status of any contacts, and epidemiological information."“
And he further states that in In case of doubt, a second test should be performed. („Where test results do not match clinical presentation, a new specimen should be collected and retested using the same or a different NAT technology.“)
This document theoretically takes us back to the beginning – to common medical practice, which disappeared for 10 months.
However, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) COVID-19 case definition of 3 December 2020 remains in force in the EU, which states that a confirmed COVID-19 case is defined by meeting laboratory criteria (i.e. only by positivity of the PCR test or antigen test) (https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/covid-19/surveillance/case-definition).
So here we have a conflict with the EU definition which states a confirmed case ONLY based on a positive test, and then here we have new WHO recommendation, which says that it is necessary to look at the patient's overall condition and therefore examine everyone properly.
So finally a return to classical medical practice, where the disease is once again determined by the doctor?
And what about our government?
