I got Arka for my birthday last month. So far I have "only" this one. It had everything, tension, action, a bit of eroticism, but mainly the plot! And again a quality article above. Plot, theme, story, ending... Everything resonates with what is happening around us. This book is one of the best I've read recently. Everything is there. It's a wonderful read. I really liked the interweaving of the plot. And where did my imagination go to its maximum? It was "that" ride, "that" bear, "that" silence, THE FUTURE, etc.

The Epoch Between August and November is clearly the best TV documentary about the events of 1969-1989, completely different from all sorts of celebratory documentaries in the style of belated patting ourselves on the back, how we managed to win the revolution and "defeat totalitarianism". The scenario of the changes of 1989 was written by someone else and at that time, from our limited perspective as a small Central European country, we were unable to recognize that we had broken free from the shackles of one world power, only to fall into the arms of another, even more powerful one at the same time. Only today are we beginning to realize how the events of that time logically fit into current events in connection with the covid-19 pandemic and the plans for globalization and total control over the entire world. Our country has been only a small part of the intentions of the global plan for several centuries, and its development and direction are determined by the predetermined intentions of the powerful, over whom we have only minimal influence.
From a global perspective, the events of 1989 were a prelude to a global transformation of the world; at that time it was a local goal: to incorporate a certain area of Eastern Europe under its control and thus join this region as another piece of the puzzle in the established plans; the next phase was launched with the covid-oplandemic three years ago with a global reach, which should have already involved the individual parts of this puzzle (dominated states and nations) directly into the hot phase of the implementation of the plans of the global world government.

I think the truth is enormously multi-layered and both this and the fact that Václav Havel was a great playwright and I want to believe that he meant well is true.
But the fact that he played someone's game is beyond dispute.
I also think that it is not appropriate to blame Václav Havel for his role in the events of that time. We all became unwitting actors in someone's game in 1989 without realizing it. And we played it just as enthusiastically because we believed that we were really driving the revolution ourselves, when we were just insignificant characters in the long-term plan.
I have the impression that Václav Havel later sensed the position he found himself in, but it was already too late and there was no escape. He had to play his role to the end. I also respect his attitudes and artistic work before 1989, I can agree with many of his ideas and opinions and find a lot of inspiration in them even for today (letter to Husák, frequent criticism of globalization), the problem was rather the contradiction of his ideas with his own actions in office of the president (shameful support for the wars in Yugoslavia, Iraq and unreserved, one-sided and uncritical bowing to the policy of the Euro-Atlantic Big Brother, so much contradicting his own critical attitudes towards any state power in the time of normalization).
