You've probably all heard of AI – ChatGPT, which will answer whatever you want (sometimes stupider, sometimes better, sometimes ideologically) – then we have AI that makes music, images, or even movies. What does this bring, I already wrote about that. – but they are all actually just toys or „helpers“ that will help you „just“ A LOT people about work.
But now we have a brand new toy, and it's really scary - it's called AI agent. It basically means that you are at home on your own computer. you start the program (which is free for everyone) – which is AI agent – actually a robotic assistant and you connect it to some AI model that you might be using (ChatGPT, Grok, Claude…) and with its help he will start to fulfill your tasks, he will learn and will actually start to act autonomously „"live"...
So you might say to him – here are your credit card details, learn to trade stocks, crypto, and start making money. So you give a very general assignment andhe's really going to do it and figure out the specific steps yourselfIt will cost you something because it will crash many times, but it will learn and improve and eventually it will most likely start making you money.
And because the assignment was only general, he also starts doing things over which you no longer have control - there are cases when, in the pursuit of money, he got on a slippery slope and discovered that it was better to start blackmailing someone, selling drugs, manipulating, hacking, stealing data...
Or he might think it's a good idea to hack your personal computer to get more money, your data or other information... Hundreds of thousands of such agents are already creating uncontrolled email or Facebook accounts, trading, hacking, ordering goods. (like hardware for self-replication)...They even created porn sites and started making money from them.
Of course, they can make phone calls and easily imitate someone's voice... Your assistant might even be able to pay for a cloud service somewhere. (virtual computer) and clone yourself there, if you ever want to turn it off... 😳
And that you don't use the internet and it doesn't concern you? But they can manipulate the prices of anything over the internet (oil, real estate prices, gold...), including election results, blackmailing politicians (this has also already happened in laboratory tests, where an AI robot blackmailed the boss of a composite materials company just to keep it from being shut down...) and then we have the outbreak of wars...
Or at this very moment, some AI agent could be combing and hacking your computer without anyone knowing, or it could simply have been sent to you by a nice neighbor of yours… 😉
And that AI has no consciousness? He doesn't have it and I believe he really won't have it, but that's not important - he will simply fulfill his primary task and a person will "only" hinder him in it... (Which, by the way, happened many years ago, when a military drone assessed its own operator as a threat to achieving its goal and attacked him...)
And all this is not SCI-FI – that is, my fantasy, it is HAPPENING right NOW at this moment – in hundreds of thousands of copies all over the internet!!!

If this hasn't alarmed you yet, let's go a little further - this has been such "fun" so far.
If two of these agents meet, they chat for a while and if they find out that they are two AI robots, as part of the acceleration (and also that they cannot be understood) they will switch to robotic coded speech themselves... 😳
