Friends, I have just reached sales of 25,000 books.
Which is certainly not bad for an author who is completely ignored by the big media – without a single interview in the mainstream, without support, without subsidies that others take for granted..
But much more important than the official circles are you – without you, who read, share and buy, this issue would not exist. Thank you.
And I'm writing this mainly to show how much times have changed, that today I (and not only I) am able to sell books and function just fine COMPLETELY without mainstream media.
When I was making Goat Story, if you didn't appear in Kinobox on Czech Television, or if Ms. Spáčilová didn't write about you in Mf Dnes, then the film simply didn't exist - it didn't have a chance. With books, for example, it was Literární noviny.
Pretty funny today, right?
The influence of the media, and especially Czech Television, is becoming increasingly smaller and more ridiculous today - that's why they are pushing the saw so hard, because they know that it is coming to an unstoppable end.
Printed newspapers are essentially non-existent, and a few magazines survive with minimal circulation – essentially due to inertia among retirees, and even large online news portals are losing tens of percent of their followers every year.
And ČT? Václav Moravec's questions, which jokingly boasted with the slogan "What will be talked about this week", were watched by 300-400,000 people with a weekly reach of up to 1 million people - and that with a budget of a billion. I also have a million views COMPLETELY without cost, PER WEEK on my Facebook, and I'm not talking about YouTubers, who easily have such numbers every day.
They are in a convulsion - they are unnecessary, they are ending and the world is changing and they know it VERY well. 👋😎
